Lewistown

Susan A. Mason, 72, of Lewistown, died Sunday morning at Central Montana Medical Center of natural causes. She was born January 7, 1954, in New London, Wisconsin, to Clarence W. and Maryann (Davis) Gabrielson. She was raised and educated in New London, where she lived for several years. In 1992, she moved with her son to Monarch, Montana, and later to Lewistown. She worked at the Snow White Café for several years before joining Mister M Disposal as a bookkeeper. There she met Dan Mason, and they were married on March 23, 1996, in Lewistown. She later worked at Albertson’s until retiring, then returned to work at Ace Hardware and Edgewood Lumber.

Sue could hardly wait for summer to spend more time with Dan and go camping in the mountains. She loved to paint white wear figures, playing cards, especially cribbage and was always making goodies for everyone to eat.

Sue is survived by her husband, Dan of Lewistown; one son Shane Balthazor of Rapid City, SD; one nephew Jeremy Leaderhouse and one brother-in-law Steve Durig.

She was preceded in death by her twins, Andrew and Amanda, her parents, and her sister Phyllis Durig.
