Dr. Norman Douglas Patterson

Dr. Norman Douglas Patterson, 89, also known as Pat Patterson was born in Billings, MT on August 18, 1935. He was the son of Annie (Calderwood) Patterson and James Patterson. He had an older brother Hubert and sisters Margery and Sylvia.

Norman graduated from high school in Jordan, MT in 1954. He then attended college in Billings, MT, and Washington State College and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1962. He practiced veterinary medicine in Bozeman for two years and then in Billings for 8 years. He was a veterinarian for the Montana Department of Livestock for 20 years.

Norman married Evelyn in 1978. They ranched 5 miles south of Lewistown. Evelyn had a son, Russell, and daughters Roxanne and Ronna. Roxanne preceded him in death, as well as his parents, sisters, and brother.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Cloyd Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Leo’s Catholic Church. Father Matt Solarz will be officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
