Nellie Opal Mannin

On November 16, 2023 Nellie (Nell) Opal Kleven Mannin, 88, of Lewistown, MT (formerly Helena, MT) was called home to her Lord and Savior. Nell died peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Cloyd Funeral Home in Lewistown, MT. An interment of ashes will immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 6814-6822 US-191 Lewistown, MT. The family then invites everyone to a celebration of life at Fergus County Council on Aging.

Nell was born on August 18, 1935 in Hillhead, SD to Ole and Dorothy Kleven. On June 4, 1955 she was united in marriage to Wayne Mannin in Webster, SD. Together Nell and Wayne had 6 children. Nell was an exceptional mother, tirelessly raising her children while relocating the family several times for Wayne's work. After Wayne's passing in 1979, Nell herself joined the workforce where she began working her first job outside of the home at an apple packing plant in Palisade, CO. A few years later, Nell returned to Lewistown, Montana with her children where she worked at various retail stores. Nell's greatest passion was spending time with her family and friends.

Nell is survived by her brother, Wallace Kleven; her six children: Larry (Nikki) Mannin, Glendive, MT; Randy (Cindy) Mannin, Dickinson, ND; Dale (Tina) Mannin, Spring Creek, NV; Becky (Rick) Forrette, Clancy, MT, Lonnie (Ronda) Mannin, Lewistown, MT; Vicki (Roger) Fisk, Lewistown, MT; Eighteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren; all of whom she cared for very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wayne, her brother Roger, her sister Mary Ann, her sister-in-law Marlene, her brother-in-law Malloy and many close friends.
