Mary E. (Betty) Munson 96, of Lewistown former Grass Range resident died early Sunday November 20th, 2016 in Great Falls. She was born May 17, 1920 in Lewistown the daughter of William and Elsie (Fulton) Fraser and had many happy memories of growing up at the Montana Power substation located along Big Spring Creek.

She attended local schools graduating from Fergus High School in 1938. She was united in marriage to Beauford Munson on December 16, 1939 in Lewistown and they made their home on the Munson family homestead located in the Chippewa area near Grass Range. Going from “everything electric to chopping wood”. She was a hard worker and was able to milk cows, put up hay and still get dinner on the table.

She is survived by her children Larry (Jeanette) Munson of Great Falls, MT, Gene (Tamzin) Munson of Bozeman, MT and Beth (John) Rader of Butte, MT; one sister Wanda Reynolds of Las Vegas, NV;10 grandchildren Lanette Brown, Lori Morrison, Ron Munson, Matthew Munson, Timi Harvey, Christopher Munson, Janice Lucon, Emily Fencl, Bob Rader and Tom Rader, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Beauford in 1988, her 2nd husband Greg Henderson, sons Darrell and Bill, siblings Everett Fraser, Alice Freeman, Helen Clark, Willa Parks and her parents.

Funeral Services for Betty Munson will be Saturday, November 26th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Grass Range Methodist Church with interment to follow in the Grass Range Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 25th, 2016 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm in the Cloyd Chapel. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Friends are asked to make memorials to the Grass Range Methodist Church or the charity of their choice and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home. Condolences for the family may be posted online at
