Margaret E. 'Margy' Mclendon

September 3, 1932 — October 3, 2020

Margaret E. "Margy" McLendon, 88, of Lewistown died Saturday evening, October 3, 2020, at her home due to complications from lung cancer.  She was born September 3, 1932, in Lewistown to Glenn and Margaret (Frood) Biehl.  She received her education in Lewistown graduating from Fergus High School in 1950.  On March 12, 1955, she was united in marriage to William "Bill" McLendon. Bill served in the military, so the two of them moved all over the world with their two sons Clay and Mark McLendon until settling on their ranch in Buffalo, MT, in 1972.

Margy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Those that knew her will remember her witty sense of humor, her unconditional love for her family, and her habit of unabashedly cheating during card games. She loved giving gifts and never let one of her grandchildren come visit her without filling up their car with gas. She loved decaf vanilla lattes, Wheel of Fortune, and the New York Yankees.

She was a talented quilter, leaving behind quilts for each of her grandchildren to remember her by. She was a dedicated member at the quilting club at her church, and she taught both of her granddaughters how to sew. Margy was also a member of the United Methodist Church and a regular volunteer with the CMMC Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years Bill; two sons Clay (Cindy) of Great Falls and Mark (Darcy) of Lewistown; one brother Glenn Biehl of Eugene, OR; six grandchildren Michelle McLendon, Mathew McLendon, Kyle McLendon, J.B. (Shaneal) Miller, Ryan McLendon and Haley McLendon; two great grandchildren Tanner and Payton Miller; one niece Bev Biehl and one nephew Bruce Biehl. She will be dearly missed.

Memorial Services for Margy McLendon will be Friday, October 9, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church. Cremation has taken place with the Cloyd Funeral Home assisting the family.
