LaVaun Louise Nelson 67 of Moore died Wednesday, December 8th, 2021 in Billings Clinic Hospital of natural causes. She was born October 4, 1954 in Malta, Montana the daughter of Ben and Ginny (Larsen) Fewer. She received her education in Malta graduating from Malta High School in 1972. She found her soulmate Melvin "Pete" Nelson and they were united in marriage on November 19, 1973. They made their home near Moore since 1975 where they raised their family. They had four children Ted, Eric (Sarah), Bradley and Troy.

LaVaun enjoyed helping others more than anything, being very stubborn and letting others know what was on her mind and what her opinion was. She did crafts with her sister Sue Hungerford. She collected Angels and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years Pete of Moore, MT; sons Theodore of Moore, MT, Eric (Sarah) of Belgrade, MT and Troy of Tempe, AZ; her mother Ginny of Malta, MT; one sister Sue (Mark) Hungerford of Malta, MT;

Grandchildren Rebekah and Aiden and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son Bradley in 1997 and her father.

Memorial Services for LaVaun Nelson will be Tuesday, December 14th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cloyd Chapel cremation has taken place, Committal will take place at a later date in the Moore Cemetery. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.
