Jerry . C. Bohn

September 21, 1950 — November 27, 2016

Jerry Coleman Bohn waited his entire life to see his beloved Chicago Cubs win the World Series. The Cubs won the Series, the Montana State Bobcats defeated the Montana Grizzlies one last time and Jerry passed away with family the morning of November 27th, 2016 at his home. Jerry was born September 21, 1950 in Lewistown, MT the son of Raymond and Hulda “Tillie” (Wadman) Bohn. He spent most all of his life on the ranch in Petroleum County. He graduated from Winnett High School in 1968, where he excelled in basketball, football and track. He still holds the school record in the 200-yard dash, a proud achievement he beamed about years later. He spent one year in college at Northern Montana College in Havre, now MSU Northern, before returning home to marry his high school sweetheart. Jerry and Paula Sinclair were married September 6, 1969 and were blessed with four children: Chad, Tasha, Tara and Cody. Jerry tried to never miss one of his kids’ activities, from basketball games to proms.

Jerry was a lover of all sports, notably cheering for the Cubs, Bobcats and Chicago Bears. He was a season ticket holder for the Bobcat football games, and coached the boys and girls basketball teams at Winnett during separate stints.

Jerry was also a history buff and enjoyed reading books and watching documentaries, often with his eyes closed. He was especially fond of airplanes and tanks after serving in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed telling stories of his time as a cook in the service, too.

Jerry married Melissa Ludwig on December 8, 2004 after a long courtship. The two did everything together, following Melissa’s children in the high school activities, attending Bobcat football games, making annual trips to Las Vegas and Sturgis and spending time with their innumerable friends and family members. Jerry also loved doting on his grandkids and was very involved in their lives.

He is survived by his wife Melissa of Winnett; sons Chad in North Dakota and Cody of Winnett; daughter Tara (Sam) Murnion of Winnett; step-son Slim Kimmel of Helena, MT; step-daughter Shorty Kimmel of Billings, MT; five grandchildren Kaden, Charlie and Anna Keith, Wil and Grace Murnion; one niece Kelly Gorrell.

He was preceded in death by one daughter Tasha Keith, his parents and two brothers Jim and Rex.
