Harley Edwin Bush

December 27, 1948 — February 14, 2026

Harley Edwin Bush, 77, of Lewistown passed away Saturday February 14th, 2026, at his home of Parkinson’s Disease with his loving wife by his side. He was born on December 27, 1948, in Deadwood, South Dakota, the son of Clyde and Vivian (Fabricious) Bush, Sr. Harley graduated from Fairfield High School and then went to Northern Montana College in Havre. He then entered the U.S. Army serving as a Military Policeman. He earned national defense service medal, expert sharpshooter and marksman medals. Following his discharge, he was a semi-truck driver for many years. From that career he became a truck salesman, then moved into management. He managed truck dealerships for Kenworth, Peterbilt and for a short time, Freightliner. He retired from Motor Power Kenworth in Great Falls. He couldn’t stay retired and went into the auto auction business for a while with his lifelong best friend Jim Eli.

Harley’s favorite pastimes were riding his Harley Davidson bikes that he had throughout his life. He also loved online poker.

He met the love of his life, Dorothy Perusich, and they married in January 1993. Harley embraced Dorothy's two children, Tracy and David, as his own. Together, they welcomed a son, Johnathan. Later, Harley was blessed with six grandchildren who became the light of his life.

Harley and Dorothy moved to Lewistown in 2021 for her job as director of The Villa Assisted Living.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Lewistown, MT; son Johnathan (Jordan) Bush of Harrisonburg, VA; step-children David (Kelley) Boone and Tracy (Jason) Samek all of Billings, MT; 6 grandchildren, Saydee, Jayna, Abi, Ezekiel, Hannah and Madison; one brother Clyde (Sharon) Bush, Jr. of Missoula, MT and one sister Beckie Earls of Grand Forks, ND; step brothers Kurth and Karl Deland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister DeeAnn Charlson and one brother James Busch.
