Guelda Johnson

Guelda W. Johnson 96 of Lewistown died Monday afternoon, June 18, 2018 in Monterey, CA of natural causes.  She was born June 29, 1921 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada the daughter of Percy R. and Jennet M. (Smyth) Harmon.  She received her education in Idaho and on September 13, 1941 she was united in marriage to Martin L Johnson in Stanford, MT.  They lived in Lewistown until 1947 and then moved to Billings.  After 22 years in Billings Martin and Guelda moved to Salt Lake City, UT where they lived until retirement in 1984 when they moved to Mesa, AZ.  In 1994 they moved back to Lewistown to spend retirement closer to family.  They lived for several years in the Lewistown Eagles Manor.  Martin preceded her in death in 2016 after 74 years together.  She remained at the Eagles Manor until moving to Monterey, CA in July 2017 to be closer to family.

She is survived by her son Martin L. (Victoria) of Monterey, CA; grandsons Martin D. (Jelveh) of Morgan Hill, CA and Christopher A. (Pia) of Pebble Beach, CA; great grandson Jett Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Guelda W. and Martin L. Johnson will be Saturday, August 25th in Lewistown, committal Saturday, August 25^th, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Lewistown City Cemetery.  The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.

The family wishes to thank the staffs of the Lewistown Eagles Manor, Central Montana Medial Center in Lewistown, Hospice of Central Montana and Ave Maria Convalescent Hospital in Monterey and the VNA Hospice of Monterey for their loving care.
