On March 23rd, 2026, God needed another night calver to join Bill and Danny Finkbeiner up in the big ranch in the sky.
Glen Douglas Finkbeiner passed away just one week from his 64th birthday. He will be remembered as an incredible father and outstanding member of the Grass Range community. He served for over 20 years on the school board and the volunteer fire department. Glen could be counted on to attend every WGR basketball and football game he could, pitching in whenever and wherever he was needed. On the ranch, he could fix any piece of equipment and build anything you dreamed up, including a whole house. He could create almost anything from his prolific pile of scraps that he always saved, just in case he might need it someday.
He leaves behind his wife and kids, who know he's sitting in his favorite chair with a hound dog on his lap, a bowl of buttered popcorn, and a John Wayne movie on the TV.
Graveside services at the Grass Range Cemetery will be held on his birthday, Monday, March 30th, at 1 pm. A reception for those who were kind to Glen in word and deed will be held at the Wrangler Bar. Instead of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Grass Range Chapter of FFA.
The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family. Condolences can be posted online at www.cloydfuneralhome.com
