Frances J. "Fran" Stulc 91 of Lewistown and longtime Winifred resident died early Saturday morning, April 20, 2019 at the Central Montana Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.  She was born July 17, 1927 in Lewistown the daughter of Othar and Marie (Peterson) Limpus.  She received her elementary schooling in the Gerhardt School and Winifred High School graduating in 1945.  She then attended Montana State University for one quarter.  Fran starting working at Fry's in Big Timber until her marriage to Anton Stulc on July 14, 1948 in Lewistown.  They lived on the Saner Place NW of Winifred until 1950 when they moved to the homestead also NW of Winifred where they ranched, lived and raised their family until they retired in the early 2000's.  They then moved into Winifred and she came into the nursing home in Lewistown in 2015.

Fran will be remembered for her generosity always helping others, her cooking, always having an extra place at the table for friends and family.  She followed her children and grandchildren through all of their activities and was a loyal Red Raider and Outlaw fan.  Her hot cakes and caramel rolls will always be remembered and never repeated.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Winifred, Winifred Altar Society, WIFE, and the Winifred Women's Club.

She is survived by her children Rodney (Bobbe) Stulc of Lewistown, MT, Rudy (Anne) Stulc, Gregory (Eileen) Stulc, Teresa (Bill) Lee, Marita (Mark) Heggem and TJ (MaryLou) all of Winifred, MT, Gerald (Rita) Stulc of Billings, MT, Sue Ann McGillivray of Lewistown, MT and Aurilla (Marlin) Johnston of Richey, MT; one brother-in-law Frank (Vi) Stulc of Basin, WY and one sister-in-law Helen Miller of Bremerton, WA; 32 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Anton in 2012, her parents, two brothers, one sister, one

daughter-in-law and two nephews.

Funeral Mass for Frances J. (Fran) Stulc will be Thursday, April 25th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Leo's Catholic Church in Lewistown with Committal to follow in the Winifred Cemetery.  There will be a family gathering on Wednesday, April 24th, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Winifred Community Center and the public is invited.  The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Friends are asked to make memorials to the Winifred Endowment or the charity of their choice and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.  Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.cloydfuneralhome.com.
