Donna Rae (Hess) Kalcso, 78 of Denton passed away at her home in Denton over the weekend. She born June 16, 1941 in Denton, MT to Ivan and Agnes (Pospisil) Hess. Donna always missed living in Denton and after moving to Idaho in 1971, was able to move back in 2007 and remain until her passing.
Although later divorced, Donna married Ronald Kalcso in 1960 and was blessed with three children from this marriage, Teri, Traci and Tad.
Donna served as the Corporate Treasurer of Idaho AAA for the majority of her career as an accountant/bookkeeper. This was a great source of pride for her and she excelled in the position.
Donna was an avid knitter, crocheter and lover of all crafts, a gift she shared with her daughters. Donna loved the outdoors, camping and fishing, as well as building puzzles and playing games.
Donna was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who loved her so much.
She is survived by her children Teri (Ken) Lloyd of McCall, ID, Traci (Jim) Drew of Portland, OR and Tad Kalcso of El Cajon, CA; her sister Joyce (Ron) Malcolm of Wyoming, MI; her brother Laurence Hess of Denton, MT. Donna enjoyed her grandchildren Jessica (DeWayne Riedman) Drew, Sean (Samantha) Kaldhusdal, Trevor (Taylor Fast) Drew, Ryan (Janae) Kaldhusdal and Jordan Drew; one great-grandson, Tyson Kaldhusdal; three nieces, Sheila (Malcolm) Domina, Laura (Malcolm) Gorkowski and Carol (Malcolm) Glanville in addition to great-nieces and nephews.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents.
The family wishes to thank the community of Denton for their love and support, not only during this difficult time but for all the love and kindness shown over the years.
The family is planning a memorial in Spring 2020 and to lay her to rest in Hillcrest Cemetery in Denton at that time. Cremation has taken place with the Cloyd Funeral Home assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Denton Endowment Fund or to the charity of their choice and they may be left with the Cloyd Funeral Home. Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.cloydfuneralhome.com.
