Bradley B. Parrish

Bradley B Parrish, 80, died Monday, November 4th at Central Montana Medical Center of natural causes. He was born December 8, 1938 in Lewistown, Montana, the son of Elton G and Vinette (Bell) Parrish. He received his education in Lewistown graduating from Fergus High School in 1957. He then attended Montana State College in Bozeman, the University of Alaska, and the University of Montana receiving his law degree in 1963. He moved back to Lewistown and opened his private law practice and served many years as a Deputy County Attorney for Fergus County. In 1983 he joined the Peace Corps and was in the Solomon Islands working with a team of attorneys to develop the country's constitution. He returned to Lewistown and his private practice in 1985 until he retired in 2002. He continued making his home in Lewistown, moving into Shepherd's Way in 2015.

Brad served as a State Representative from 1971-1973, on the Lewistown City Study Commission, served on the Lewistown City Commission for 8 years, 7 of which he served as Chairman. He was a member of the Lewistown Eagles Lodge of which he was a past president, Lewistown Eagles Manor Board of Directors serving many years as Secretary, Lewistown Rotary Club, Montana Committee for Humanities and the Montana Officials Association. In 1998 he was honored with a Community Service Award by the University of Montana. He was an avid fan of the Montana Grizzlies, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Pittsburgh Pirates and also treasured music and literature.

Brad is survived by son Trevor (Donya) of Helena, MT, daughter Andrea Renner of Nashville, TN, a sister Marilyn (Ed) Eberly of Kalispell, MT; four grandchildren Shelbey & Brady Parrish and Nathan & Sarah Renner; nephew Mark (Aleasha) Eberly of Boise, ID, niece Angela Davis of Norfolk, VA and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A small Celebration of Life Services for Bradley B. Parrish will be Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Episcopal Church in Lewistown.  Committal will take place in the Lewistown City Cemetery privately at a later date, cremation has taken place.  The Cloyd Funeral Home assisting the family.

Friends are asked to make memorials to the Lewistown Grizzly Scholarship Association, the Lewistown Public Library or Hospice of Central Montana and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.

The family is appreciative of the hospice care Brad received prior to his death in recent months, as well as the care he was given during his nearly five years at Shepherd's Way.
