Arlene F. Nelson

Arlene R. Nelson 63 of Stanford passed away early Monday morning, October 3rd, 2016 at her home of natural causes. She was born, February 19, 1953 in Havre, Montana the daughter of Gerhard and Eudora (Jameson) Fald. She received her education in Chinook, MT graduating from Chinook High School in 1971. She then attended Northern Montana College in Havre. On April 16, 1972 she was united in marriage to Larry Nelson in Chinook. They lived on his family ranch at Windham, later moving to Hobson and then to Moore. In 1983 they moved to Stanford where they made their home in Stanford and raised their sons. IN the mid 1990’s she returned to school and received her L.P.N. Certificate working for a short time in Great Falls and then in Lewistown.

Arlene enjoyed making cakes, many different crafts, fishing, hunting and camping.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Stanford and the Stanford Women’s Club.

She is survived by her husband Larry of Stanford; sons Jason (Kelly) of Fort Knox, TN and Matthew (Deanna) of Dillon; sisters Judy Mosher of Tacoma, WA and Karin DeYarmon of Pueblo, CO; three granddaughters Megan, Maddison and Savanah and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Memorial Services for Arlene R. Nelson are pending and will be announced later, cremation has taken place. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Friends are asked to make memorials to the Judith Basin Emergency Services or the charity of their choice and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.
