Obituary

Allen Lee Leohner, 79, of Lewistown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

For the past 12 years, Allen made his home at the Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center. During his time there, he became a beloved figure, remembered by staff and residents alike for his warm smile, friendly spirit, and genuine kindness. Al had a natural gift for making those around him feel welcome and happy. He found great joy in playing games with his friends, and he was known for winning the majority of the time.

Al loved his family deeply. He shared an incredibly close and special bond with his beloved daughter, Ginger, and cherished their weekly talks and visits above all else. Al was a natural storyteller who loved sharing memories of his life with a humorous twist. He had a deep appreciation for classical music, was a lifelong, passionate fan of Star Wars, and cherished the wonderful memories of playing Zelda with his grandson, Jon. He also shared a love for art like his grandson Elliott.

Al was a true joy to be around, bringing laughter to everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by his many friends, especially by his daughter, Ginger, and her husband, George.

He is preceded in death by his precious grandsons, Matthew and Jason; his parents, James and Gladys; his brother, Larry; his sister, Joye; and other family members and friends. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family. Condolences can be posted online at www.cloydfuneralhome.com.
