Funeral services for Frank L. Carr will be Friday, October 28th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cloyd Chapel with cremation to follow. Cloyd funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
Frank L. Carr, 73 of Lewistown, died Monday evening, October 24th at his home following a three year battle with cancer. He was born November 26, 1937 to parents Wick and Margaret (Cremeens) Carr in Belle Fourche, SD. Frank received his schooling in Mona, Rozet and Glendo Wyoming, graduating from Glendo High School. After high school he worked construction then attended Black Hills Teacher College. On March 22, 1957 Frank was united in marriage to Reta M. Quick in Spearfish, SD. He worked as a ranch hand later managing Spearfish Valley Ranch for 18 years. Frank and his family returned to Belle Fourche where they owned and operated a restaurant for 17 years. In 1988 they moved to Lewistown where Frank worked for Casino Creek Concrete until retiring at age 70.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, music, woodworking, watching birds, reading & writing poems and short stories and socializing. Frank was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the American Legion both of Lewistown.
He is survived by his wife, Reta of Lewistown; two sons, Guy (Vivian) of Gillette, WY and Wick of Spearfish, SD; three daughters Valerie Emme of Lewistown, MT, Kelly Carr and Tracy Trollop both of Sturgis, SD; one brother Lee of Worland, WY and one sister Ruth Ann Collins of Mona, WY. 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one grandson Mark, one sister and his parents.
Friends are asked to make memorials to the Central Montana Foundation or the charity of their choice and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.

I am sorry to hear of the loss of Frank. He was a great guy and will be missed by many.
