Funeral Liturgy for Lucile M. Woody will be Tuesday, September 27th, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Leo’s Catholic Church with committal to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Vigil services will be Monday evening, September 26th, at 7:00 p.m. in St. Leo’s Catholic Church. Cloyd Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family.
Lucile M. Woody, 89 of Great Falls and former Lewistown resident, died early Tuesday morning at Park Place Healthcare in Great Falls of lung cancer. She was born on the family farm 22 miles northwest of Brooks, Montana, daughter of George & Victoria (Vanek). She grew up in the Brooks area, going to Brooks and Warm Spring Creek School for third through the eighth grade. She attended Fergus County High School and graduated in 1940. In 1939 she worked as a part time student at J.C. Penny's Store continuing until 1943.
On October 1, 1942, she was united in marriage to Robert L. Woody. They lived in Lewistown where Robert was working at the Airport until February 1943 when they went to work for Anne Storfa Walchli until June 1943, then moved to the Denton Area and worked for Ernest Cecrle until Aug. After that they moved to her folks place and worked for her parents until Nov. when moving to an adjoining ranch, continuing to farm there until June 1945. They returned to the home place and farmed there until 1951, when they purchased their own ranch in the Deerfield Community on Warm Spring Creek. She loved to work in her garden and flowerbeds and yard. She spent many hours running machinery on the ranch and working with the cattle. They continued to farm until October 1979 when her husband died. She continued to stay there until Oct of 1980. After her son's marriage she moved to Lewistown. While in the Deerfield area they raised their three children. She was a member of the Danvers Catholic Church, was Secretary and President of the Danvers Alter Society for many years and worked with the CCD Program. She was a 4-H member for 10 years and a 4-H leader for 20 years. She also was a member of the Home Demonstration Club and Deerfield Community Club.
After moving to Lewistown, she worked at Alpine Green House, Golden Times Jewelry, and the Bridal Shop. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and went through all the chairs. She was a member of the Drill Team for 18 years. She was also a member of the Moose Club, going through all the chairs, was a member of Academy of Friendship and College of Regents. She was also a member of the American Legion Axillary. She was a member of St. Leo's Church and the St. Johns Guild. She made ever so many Baptism scarves for the church.
She loved her family and was happiest when they were around her. She traveled with them on several family vacations. Lucile loved to play cards and played several times a week. She also loved to fish, travel, loved to crochet scrubbies, make jewelry, and make craft items to sell at craft fairs.
Survivors include her 3 children, Dorothy (John) Sullivan of Great Falls, MT, Donna (Donald) Pallett of Lewiston, ID and Dale (Beverly) Woody of Spokane, WA; 7 grandchildren, Darlene Pallett and Dwight Pallett of Lewiston, ID, Paul (Stacey) Sullivan of Fountain Valley, CA, Patrick (Suki) Sullivan of Olympia, WA, David Sullivan of Great Falls, MT, Julia (Kwame') Fisher of Seattle, WA, Linda Sullivan of Billings, MT; 5 great-grandchildren, MaDonna (Daniel) Duncan and Jessica (Calen) Martin of Lewiston, ID, Jonathon Pallett of Camp Pendleton, San Diego, CA, Lucas and Abigail Sullivan of Fountain Valley, CA, and 1 great-great grandchild, Greyson Martin of Lewiston, ID; her twin brother, Leo (Frances) Cerovski and brother Paul (Dorothy) Cerovski; one sister, Anna Levitte, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, one sister, Alice Naylor, her parents, George & Victoria Cerovski, 1 grandson and 2 granddaughters.
Friends are asked to make memorials to the charity of their choice and may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.

So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing she was a great gal and will be sorely missed by all that knew her. Hold to the memories and she will always be near.
